Your Library Card

GETTING A LIBRARY CARD

Library cards are a benefit of your tax dollar and are available to all Neoga Township and Ash Grove Township residents and /or property owners within the Neoga Public Library District.  When applying for a card, bring identification and current proof of residency:  property tax bill, utility bill, bank statement, or some other form of identification showing name and current physical address.   Your card will be honored at any Illinois Heartland Library System library. 

Those living outside the library district boundaries may purchase a non-resident family card for $75.00 per year. 

Non-Resident “Cards for Kids”

Free library cards are available for children and teens who:

  • Live outside any library taxing district, and
  • Attend Neoga School District #3

There is no minimum age to receive a card:

  • Children under age 15 may receive a card with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Teens age 15 and older may apply on their own with valid ID and proof of address.

A parent, guardian, or the applicant must provide documentation verifying residence within the school district.

These cards are intended for books, e-books, and audiobooks not movies, TV, and music.

These cards are made possible through the Cards for Kids Act (Public Act 101-632) and the Expanded Cards for Kids Act (Public Act 102-0843).
